Plans?  We don't need no stinkin' plans :)

At the moment the current plan is "it won't fail in the short term".  We have 
two shiny new servers on order which will mitigate the failure risk better in 
the long term.

I looked at LFS (and Gentoo).  LFS seemed like a lot of extra work for very 
little gain and Gentoo didn't tickle my fancy.

With all of that building and staying ahead with your packages I don't imagine 
you have all that much free time ;)
