Hi

Lotus Expeditor is the IBM commercial version of the Eclipse Rich
Client. It comes with development tools etc.

Lotus Expeditor: Foundation workshop

Could your end user customers be more productive with client side
applications and a compelling user interface that uses distributed
intelligence on a rich client platform? Do you need to manage an
environment with a universal client allowing users to move from the
connected desktop to the mobile space and access applications and data
when they are in and out of network coverage? If so, this is the
workshop you should attend.

IBM Lotus Expeditor is an end-to-end environment that includes a
server; a universal client for desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile
devices; and a toolkit. It is an open standards SOA platform used to
build, deploy and manage composite applications that can access
multiple data sources all at the client. It can be integrated with
WebSphere Portal, Sametime, Workplace Forms, the next release of Lotus
Domino or used as a stand-alone offering. Solutions built with Lotus
Expeditor can be designed, developed, distributed and maintained to
allow users with wire line, wireless or cellular networks to securely
interact with corporate information, data, processes and services,
while maintaining security and transaction integrity.

This workshop covers Lotus Expeditor fundamentals for the toolkit and
for the desktop and device runtime environments. It is offered in 2
formats, traditional classroom and self-paced. Both are no charge and
cover the same content.

What will you learn ?

* How to design, build, deploy and maintain sophisticated solutions
that can adapt to desktop and mobile clients across network conditions
that are in support of SOA applications
* How to build or extend existing applications and enterprise
information systems to desktop clients and mobile devices that are not
always connected
* How to use the Eclipse rich client platform to plug in applications
and enable new mobile application development
* How to plan deployments to include security, application management,
connectivity and data synchronization
