LIRC on Debian

Hi

Okay, here we go ..

I believe that an apt-get install lirc does not in fact install all the
necessary packages. Which ones are missing (and I assume that I can
apt-get them also.

Do I need to compile lirc with dvico support, and if so how exactly do I
do that

As far as the lirc.conf and .lircrc files I am OK with what they are and
where they go.

There may be other things, but that would be a good start.

Cheers and thanks.

Rod
