While eventpool has been used for listing events, the categories are not
specific enough for our needs,
nor it it obvious how they are to be used. IT events seem to be viewed as
'industry' rather than
community events, and community events are not (generally) see as
interesting to IT/tech folk.

Dale's efforts will be great, and we may well be able to feed the details
into eventpool.
