Adept problem.

G'day all.

I've got Kubuntu 6.06 running on my computer and I've just had this 
problem occur. When I try to run Adept I get this message;

"You will not be able to change your system settings in any way 
(install, remove or upgrade software), because another process is using 
the packaging system database (probably some other Adept application or 
apt-get or aptitude). Please close the other application before using 
this one."

I don't know what else is running that would be using the database. I've 
rebooted and it still occurs.

How do I find out what the problem is and solve it?
