Globalisation = USFTA DMCA, WIPO Broadcast treaty.
Hopefully it does also include sustainable economies with the right to
run different systems and laws choosing FOSS friendly strategies. Of
course that will happen in places where the people are prepared to
engage and promote that as important to their local culture or economy
and be prepared to wear the brunt of non compliance.
Problems with trade with partners who differ (US) and systemic
prejudice such as the quaint deeming provision, where if you are not a
participant in the DMCA, work published in your country will be deemed
to be printed in a signatory country first if they manage to do it
within a month of your first publication.
