I'm looking for a modem that has a management interface like the
one I used to have.  That's hardly a miracle.  Heck, I'm almost
contemplating buying a Cisco just so I can get the stats and
features that I'm after (e.g. snmp traps).

I never wrote that I had a poor S/N.  You know you can't
really pump ADSL over 12 kms of wet string, don't you?
