Hi Daryl,
I not sure if this any help, but today i bought a Billion 7300 modem /
router for $85 from Mats Systems, and i am very impressed with it.
I am running it in pure brigded mode, and get access to it atm but i
just connect my laptop to one of the eth ports. The 7300 does have
stats on signal strength off the phoneline etc
Regards
Dale
