Software Deployment Engineer (Search Engine Optimisation)

YourAmigo develops, markets and sells unique Search Engine Optimisation and
marketing technologies to customers around the world, including Sony Europe,
Reebok UK and Home Shopping Network USA to name a few. These search
technologies make web sites that are currently being poorly crawled by
Google and other search engines fully crawlable, and also optimised to rank
highly in the search engine¹s results. YourAmigo technologies also assist in
the building of feeds for Yahoo and shopping portals.

Due to continued expansion and world-wide demand, YourAmigo is significantly
expanding its Adelaide office, which is the headquarters for deployment of
our technologies.

Your role will involve deploying YourAmigo's technologies on customer
websites to solve visibility problems and improve search engine ranking.

You will undertake a range of tasks including:
* Setting up automatic crawling of customer sites
* Establishing scripts to mine data from product pages
* Performing keyword research
* Analysing and optimising web page content
* Creating templates

Required Skills:
* A good understanding of web technologies and search engines
* Reasonable competency: software development in Perl
* A working knowledge of HTML, Javascript and the HTTP protocol
* Basic SQL experience
* Our development/server environments are Linux
