Hi everyone,

<<re-posted in the linux mailing list>>

I'm a comittee member of the North East Radio Club
Inc and have the task of finding a guest
speaker/presenter for an upcoming (January or February
or March, 2007)technical night
discussion/presentation. Some of the club members are
sort of familiar with Linux but there are many who
are, well, in need of enlightenment;)

Is anyone interested in giving a 90 to 120 minute
presentation designed to whet the appetite of n00bs
and more experienced members alike? We're
thinking along the lines of a rundown of why Linux is
a
better option, what software is available (for small
office use (eg office productivity software) and of
course, what amateur radio and related software that
is also avaliable). If time and interest permits, a
mini
install-fest might be a nice conclusion.

FYI, the NERC has its technical night meetings on
the last Friday of every month and meets at the
Ardtornish Primary School Gymnasium, Saarinen Ave, St
Agnes.

The Club Website is:

If interested, please respond off list and we'll
discuss in more detail.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew,
