Hi David,

You're probably looking for ":help pi_paren.txt".  There's also the
showmatch/matchtime options, but I think that's less likely to be your
problem here.

The behaviour I see isn't that the cursor turns off though, but it
does change colour.  Maybe your terminal doesn't like the colours
(looks like cyan on magenta to me).
