Well,

Internode or Agile have a VoIP network. The do this by having IP points of
presence in each capital city and so you hop on their network @ 25c then hop
off @25c no time or distance involved. This gets around the *very onourus*
task of negotiating an interconnect aggreement with a traditional (Bell
head) carrier.
