David,
	The easiest way I have seen to get around the problem without
installing sys files past the 4/8 G limit is to let NT have its way
with the partition size initially. Install, NT and service pack it
up, and then change the partition size with partition magic
(or equvalent).

I'm not sure what happens if you add a later service pack that may
install past the limit though (BSoD I would imagine :)), so maybe
separate boot/data partitions are the better way to go.
