Telstra sattelite is only one way - uploading is through a standard 56K
bigpond dialup, and the downloading is through a sattelite link to DirecPC
(based in the US I think?)

There is a linux client you can use, .... and the name completely evades me
at the moment, but its pretty bloddy horrible, its only in the form of a RPM
or a caldera package (forget what they use), and I had absolutely no luck in
getting the 30-day trial version to work on both redhat 6.0 or debian.

It was no doubt my fault though (this was over two years ago...), possibly
the client's much better now.

The windows client for DirecPC is also very, very strange, I couldn't get
the connection shared using any of the most common NAT applications
(winroute lite/pro, wingate, sygate), so i just ended up installing Proxy+
on the machine and running it that way.

It was a pretty horrible solution, but it was the only way I could do it :-(
