well, a quick look at /dev shows hdt as the last, and I doubt I'll need more
than 20, so that's good 8^)
how much hassle is it to get and use more IDE controllers? does linux have
many issues with some controllers? does windows? (and what happens if
something does object to one of them, it doesn't see that controller? that
controller and all after? panic and not work with any controller?)
