I had a look at it when I first bought my iPod, but back then (18 months
or so ago), the support for HFS+ (or whatever derivation of HFS the iPod
is using) wasn't too flash.
That said, you can get Windows support for the iPod now, so actually
accessing the thing wouldn't be such a task. The major issue that I
think you'd encounter is talking to the "database" which lists all the
music on the device.
