I have slack9 on a P200 with 64M RAM, and X runs quite nicely. once I have KDE 
loaded with a coupla apps and a half dozen tabs in konqueror, it has some low 
memory probs and can be working the swap file nearly constantly, but for 
general use it'd work happily
