Anyone going to meeting with laptop with GbE?

Hi,

I'm doing some work on moving the Internet's deployed
MTU from 1500 bytes to 9000 bytes. At 1500 bytes at
1Gbps a full ethernet frame isn't too far from an ATM
cell at 155Mbps, and we all know what a good idea that
was :-(

If someone has a Linux laptop with a Intel (e1000 driver)
or Broadcom (tg3 driver) ethernet card and are going
to the next LinuxSA meeting could you please drop me an
e-mail.

I've altered my machine's kernel to improve path MTU
discovery for 9000 byte jumbo frames, but I've no way
to test this without some help.

Thanks as always,
Glen
