802.11b aerials...
All.
I have a DLink DWL-520 Wireless card in my server, and I'm not getting
great reception in my lounge. A friend suggested it's because the server
itself is between the aerial and me (not to mention three walls). He
suggested that I turn the server around to face the other way. Only
problem with that is it means I won't be able to get to my CD, CDR or
tape drive.
So, I am trying to find another solution. The one that I've come up with
is getting an aerial that is long enough to protrude above the server
(and desk) and hopefully solve the problem that way. Does anyone have
any comments as to the likelihood of this working, or any advice on what
sort of aerial I need to get and where to get it from?
Cheers
rr
