odd font problem
When I updated X to xfree4.3 it installed xfs (which isn't run) and some freetype fonts
which all appeared to work well. A few days latter those fonts became
unavailable. I don't use the new fonts often so I didn't look into it.
Yesterday the fonts magically became available again only for the day
without any changes to anything. I use xfstt which has always been
reliable with the fonts that I have installed and xfs-xtt which may not
be doing anything. The new fonts get installed in /userfonts directory.
The ports 7101 and 7110 are both included in the xf86config file and the log file reports that 7110 is removed from the list. I'm certain that at times it has been accepted. Could this be an intermittent problem or is something else the cause?
Conrad.
