I second that! My CRX140E is a complete lemon!

1. When ever I swap CDs (eg installations from my 8CD debian set) it hangs
for about a minute upon each change causing the kernel to spit out device not
ready messages.

2. It didn't like to slave with my older HDD.

3. Just a few days ago, I opened a box of CDRW and it wouldn't write to the
first two that I tried (but it could be a bad batch, must try them on another
machine).

I thought that buying Sony would be a good thing. They make the best
monitors, their VCRs are amongst the most reliable (according to Choice) and
their HiFi gear is sort of respectable. How could their CDs be such rubbish?
