Desktop launcher

I'm running Redhat 8.0 with Gnome & I'd like to add an icon to my panel
to allow me to switch to viewing the desktop in the current workspace.

I've Googled a lot, but 'desktop launcher' brings up heaps about
configuring panels/desktops etc but not about adding an 'icon' for 'Show
desktop'

Can someone suggest an answer please?
