RE: UPS Recommendations ?

Most if not all UPSs have serial connections to connect to a computer
(some have ethernet), but the problem is in finding suitable software to
run on the host system. I use a SOLA 750 myself, which is supported by
Best Power CheckUPS software. CheckUPS is available for Linux and from
my own testing appears to work very well. If you have multiple systems
hanging off the one UPS, you can even network the CheckUPS software so
that all system will shut down cleanly in the event of power failure.

Subject: UPS Recommendations ?

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a brand, and or model, of UPS that can signal a
server to shutdown due to both electrical or thermal problems?
