CDU921S-PR.
Wouldn't a better solution be to create ISO images, compress these and send
them off? The ISOs wouldn't ever need to be burned onto a CDR before
reaching the publisher.
If the publisher still insists on having the data submitted on a CDR, ready
to copy, does the data have to be recorded as Mode1 or Mode2? If it's
Mode1, it theoretically wouldn't make a difference which burner you used to
create a disc as the ECC data is recreated by the burning drive (in this
case, the factory's master burner) from the cooked files on your disc. If
however you need to submit a Mode2 disc, I can see the point of using a
special drive (raw copy would use the existing ECC on the disc, and any
errors in that can be a huge problem).
Is your disc copy protected?
