I could be wrong but i think unticking the 'enable actions' menu item (when 
you click on the icon in the taskbar) will stop klipper from automatically 
interrupting you.
not sure on that one.  I generally dont use klipper directly but i do think 
its a good idea.  also, given that my swap space is hardly ever touched (and 
i only have 256MB ram) the memory issue doesnt bother me at all.

Doesnt klipper also provide improved copy and paste support for all kde 
applications?  I had the impression that copy and paste in kde relied on 
klipper to some extent.  anyone know for sure??
