//fineales/mp3s       /mnt/mp3       smb     uid=ant,guest 0 0

[ant@ant etc]$ ls -ald /mnt/mp3/
drwxr-xr-x    1 ant      root         4096 Mar 30 03:42 /mnt/mp3/

Works for me, although guest access, and mounting with owner of ant on
the local box. Doesnt halt boot up and ask for a password either -
depending on what arguments you use you can cause this and yet you dont
see the question and it looks like your machine is waiting for no good
reason untill you hit enter (at least on redhat 8).
