External SMB services

I'm way, way behind with LinuxSA mail. However in case anyone has had
their ears completely shut lately :-) ... not only has it never been
wise to run publicly accessible SMB services, but as of recent months it
has been especially suicidal. That goes for any SMB service, including
Samba and Windows.

I know that some public bodies in SA have had SMB ports open for years
between themselves, but even this is still deadly given the transmission
characteristics of the attacks that exist.
