Heh.  And I recently replaced a 3com something-or-other with a RealTek in
my desktop machine, and my max transfer rate went from 11 megabytes per
second down to 5 megabytes per second.  I very quickly lost faith in them.

I'll be putting the 3com back in Real Soon Now.
