Re: divx encoding under linux

For those that are follwing the thread....
There seem to be two main encoding methods

1. using transcode 
(http://www.theorie.physik.uni-goettingen.de/~ostreich/transcode/)
2. using MEncoder (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design6/news.html)

There are frontends for the two methods with the most featured from what 
i could find being
1. dvd::rip (transcode) (http://www.exit1.org/dvdrip/)
2. AcidRip (MEncoder) (http://acidrip.thirtythreeandathird.net/)
