RE: Arkeia backup software

Hey,

Well we use arkeia with a windows/linux environment. We are using version
5.0.8 of arkeia on a linux server and we back up an old NT server running
arekia client 4.2.16 and I haven't had an problems with it. I believe
version 5.0.7 of arekia has bugs preventing backups of 4.2 windows clients
but I haven't had problems with our setup.

We just have the linux box connected to a dell 120T (dlt4000 autoloader) and
that seems to work fine.

Cheers
Mark

Subject: Arkeia backup software

All,

Just wondering if anyone's had any experiences with Arkeia backup,
particularly in a mixed (Linux + Windows) environment.

Looking at options for backing up a new Windows terminal server and
would prefer to use our existing Linux box but perhaps upgrade the
DAT drive to an AIT unit instead.

TIA
