Rsync on Cygwin in daemon mode
I have a situation where I need to employ the services of rsync, but
I'm forced to run it on a Windows file server (seeing as that's the
place all of the company's files are stored).
I've installed rsync from the Cygwin collection on a test machine on a
Windows 2000 workstation machine, and am happily copying files across
to my FreeBSD workstation.
The clients are likely to be running Linux or FreeBSD. I was wondering
if anyone has had any problems with rsync running on Windows in daemon
mode. If so, what did you do to deal with it? If it's been running
nicely, do you have any tips?
Ta,
- andrew
