Apple have been using it on their flat-panel monitors for some time
now (in a certain variation; they include power and USB on the same
cable). The Apple Display Connector (ADC) can be used to break it out
to a "normal" digital video interface, compatible with pretty any
graphics card that with a digital interface.

I often wonder over to http://www.apple.com/displays and drool. Last I
heard, Simon Hackett had two of the 22" Cinema Displays side-by-side
on his desk at Internode :-)
