Ive also noticed that lower refresh rates tend to look better on LCD.
Ive noticed that 60hz looks far clearer on my projector.. and that is a
small lcd sceen in a box. I think this is because there is lower noise
on the cable and less specific timing required when that the analog
signal on the vga cable gets re-digitised and put in a digital buffer
for the lcd driver. (correct me if Im wrong).
