Re: [NEWS] 'Linux is too much like Windows'
A little bird alighted on my shoulder and whispered "Halloween VII"
http://www.opensource.org/halloween/ Article VII
This describes MICROSOFT'S findings from a survey conducted for and by
them concerning IT decision maker's attitudes worldwide to OSS in
general and Linux in particular.
These findings show very clearly indeed that the trend is away from M$
and towards the Open Source movement. How such findings were derived
and how they were deduced from what answers, we don't know.
We also don't know to what extent the views of "IT professionals" are
transferrable to the population at large. Of course it might suggest an
evolution into a situation somewhat similar to the one we have now -
those who know use OSS, whereas the unwashed masses continue to use
Windoze.
Interesting, though.
Anyone found any other "factual" information we can look at, relevant to
this thread?
