That's very contradictory to the other responses. I too doubt there'd
be much cost involved on the supplier's side, but if a local deli can
get away with charging $0.30 for a dollop of chutney on your sandwich, I
can understand why an ISP can do the same thing for a static IP.
The other question is, I wonder whether Internode would be happy enough
if I supplied my own IP?

That's not entirely true. I can not afford any more than $150 per month
on ADSL, and because I do not run a business I can not justify or
recover the expense of $245 per month [Closest equivalent plan.]
I could drop down my download cap or my ADSL speed and go for a lower
business plan, but I don't want to.
