Probably.  But I do like this list :)

I did a 'make install' directly from the ports, and enabled ACL from
within there.

I hope so.  I will give the samba lists a try also.  Damn my
cutting-edgeness.

I did a 'make install' directly from the ports, and enabled ACL from
within there when prompted, so I am assuming it's enabled!  Any way I
can check?
