Hi Greg,
I don't want to publically attack Rasmus, hence I'm taking this offlist. What
has frustrated me is the recent bug patching and back-porting of fixes due to
the file upload code. Adding to this is Red Hat's packaging problems has meant
it's very hard to have a version of php that a) has known bugs in file upload
code fixed, b) works with everything else in Red Hat 7.X.
Red Hat's version in 7.1/2 is 4.0.X which has suffered from some problems. PHP
rewrote these troublesome sections in 4.1.X onwards. But certain package
dependencies has made getting everything working nicely on Red Hat 7.X hard.
Sorry for the flame. Frustration coming out.
