Well, I don't know anything at all about NFS. Is it possible to mount a
Samba share with NFS? It sounds like something I would like to learn.
All of our worksations are partitioned, so Linux uses the same shares
that our Windows 2000 workstations do.
This is also part of a possible migration. Basically, we don't want to
play 'russian rolette' with Internet email viruses and worms any more -
so we check our email and surf the Internet from within Linux.
Since WINE has come so far, I have been able to install a number of
Windows applications that the company uses into each Linux workstation
to alleviate some of the inconvenience of rebooting. I just thought it
would be nice to be able to access the faster Samba server.
