Samba client for Linux
I am trying to set about 10 Linux workstations as Samba clients (guest
accounts) with an automated share mount, but it appears that
smbfs(?)only allows root to mount these shares as a guest. I tried using
the chmod +s command on smbmnt/smbumount but no luck. I guessed that
smbfs is compiled into the kernel and overriding the chmod, so I looked
for a simpler solution. Is there any way to write a bash script so that
it automatically responds to the SU password prompt?
Thank you,
James Leone
P.S. This is the last piece of info I need for my office as well the
simple guide.
