It has a built-in info viewer.  If you ask it for its own docs it
displays its info files.  I don't know how to do it for other files, but
try alt-x and then trying some of the major modes.  If you're not sure
what you're looking for, pressing tab will give you a list (it's just
like tab completion in the shell) and if you've typed something it will
complete as much as it can - then you can list the possible completions.

the info major mode displays a list of info files i can select to view
on my machine here.
