Hmmm, I have pulled the plug on a single drive in a GNU/Linux RAID 1 
system, but I can't remember exactly what happens.

I think it bitches about it bitterly in the log files, so if you are 
monitoring the logs, you should be okay.

I think it also flags the issue in /proc/mdstat.
