Can someone please explain this dialing error?
Hi everyone, :)
Every now and then when I get my smoothwall box to dial
out to my ISP the connection fails with the following error.
Connection terminated.
Receive serial link is not 8-bit clean:
Problem: all had bit 7 set to 0
Then I dial again and it works fine.
Is this relating to an authentication error or
my modem or something else?
The full passage from /var/log/messages is below
just in case it makes any difference.
Thanks everyone,
Nathan Millhouse.
