DHCP and linux box Hostname

I am using a DHCP interface for 2 out of my 3 interfaces on a redhat 7.3 box

(telstra cable internet) being one of them...

as default when the dhcp for my eth0 (ne2000) card is configured the hostname
of the machine changes to match...

i was under the impression of adding

DHCP_HOSTNAME='hostname'

to the ifcfg-eth0 file would stop it but this is not the case...

any ideas people? its just annoying having it change on me all the time...
