I have tried your suggestion, I get the following:
	tar: Humm, this doesn't look like a tar archive
      tar: skipping to next file header
	3713+0 records in
	3713+0 records out

What does the last 2 output meant ? if the tape has been read, where do I go
to look for these tar files. Sorry, I am new to linux, therefore you really
have to hold my hand.
