Hello Andrew ....

I have some external scsi tape units that are normally powered off, they are 
the only devices on the scsi controller (advansys ABP940-U).

To use them after powering them on with out a system reboot I have to remove 
the advansys module (rmmod advansys) then re-insert the module (insmod 
advansys) then all is ok.
