RE: FreeBSD -- 2 identical drives, different geometries...
Hi.
I remember having this problem in a linux install I did some time back. In
the end I passed an option statement to lilo with the geometry of the
second drive in it. Something like "hdc=x,y,z" x,y,z being CHS. My
problems went away. Does Freebsd have a similar option?
I think the difference is caused by the different drive sensing, the first
drive geometry is passed from the bios, the second is sensed by the os, or
something like that.
