Command completion has been around for a long time, even
before MS-DOS. Richard knows the DEC products and could
probably take a stab at when he first saw it.

UNIX shells only gained command completion quite recently
(in the geological timescales of minicomputing), with the sh
and csh clones. This is why we have "cat" rather than "concatenate".

It's made using UNIX a lot better, unlike username completion
which is a bad, sad idea (press Tab, wait for 100,000 users in
the LDAP directory to be ennumerated...)
