Re: Assignment for Richard Russell
seeing as my name is in the subject line, I am compelled to respond...
This is mainly my fault -- I failed to explain this in class... hence,
a 1 week extension for this part of the assignment has been given to
all who have asked.
However, what it refers to is services like telnet, which at least
some people covered in last week's class... We haven't discussed
security at all as yet, but will do that this week.
(however, places to look include ipchains (firewalling), ssh (encryted
telnet equivalent), X, and rsh/rexec/rlogin/etc, along with
hosts.equiv and similar files).
Apologies to LinuxSA members for me using this list to say things that
should have been said in class, but ... I just wasn't with it enough
last week to remember...
sigh....
