You'll probably have to pass smbmount a username that has the required
priviledges to write to the share for that to work. From the example
above, I believe it'd be trying to login using your current UNIX
username.[1]
Read the man page for smbmount, paying particular attention to the
options that let you specify username and password.
If that's too hard and security is not an issue, you could export the
share on the Windows 2000 box as world-read/write/modify/delete-able.
That's a last resort, though.
