When KDE dies (hangs) on startup it will stop on a specific action. The
action should be hilightes or the last one on the screen. (for me, its
always Fonts which stop it... :-(  ) so if you know that - it would be a
help.

I've got a brand new hard drive - new installation

dual boot Mandrake 8.1/Win 98 SE
kde version 2.2.1
kernel version 2.4.8-26mdk

problem:
locks up during loading kde or shortly after

have changed video card
have changed sound card type (sound blaster compatible)

what else should I do?
